Bid race for £225m Network Rail building works deal





The new Property Construction and Refurbishment Works framework will operate from 2025 until 2030 and cover all regions including Scotland.

Anticipated works cover a wide range of construction projects, including renovation and refurbishment of existing commercial and industrial properties and the construction of new properties across Network Rail’s estate.

Firms can bid for around nine lots covering Network Rail infrastructure – requiring a principal contractor license – and work in the ‘high street’ environment.

  • Southern: Lot 1 – value £74m
  • NW&C: Lot 2 Infrastructure Works:
  • NW&C: Lot 3 High St. Environment Works  – (lots 2+3) value £44m
  • Eastern: Lot 4 Infrastructure Works
  • Eastern: Lot 5 High St. Environment Works – (lots 4+5 £42m)
  • Wales & Western: Lot 6 Infrastructure Works
  • Wales & Western: Lot 7 High St. Environment Works – (lots 6+7) value £45m
  • Scotland: Lot 8 Infrastructure Works
  • Scotland: Lot 9 High St. Environment Works – (lots 8+9) value £29m

Network Rail said it could award deals to up to 25 firms.
