He is understood to be leaving for a fresh opportunity in the United States.

Lindsay joined Balfour Beatty from Laing O’Rourke at the end of 2020 after 16 years with the business where he oversaw the firm’s central section Thames Super Sewer contract and its Quebec hospital job.

At Balfour more recently he had responsibility for navigating and closing out several legacy building projects.

This included the delayed Lewisham Gateway project, which finally completed last week, but is still dogged by an on-going adjudication dispute with the cladding package contractor on the job.

He also supported the transition of Balfour Beatty’s Midlands Metropolitan Hospital into operation.

Former regional civil commercial director Andy Pedley has been promoted to interim managing director of Regional Buildings.
