Adrian, 42, has served as the Midlands firm’s technical director for several years. He has taken on the new role alongside his younger brother, current managing director, James Speller.
The appointment marks a natural progression for Adrian, who has played a pivotal role in the firm’s leadership alongside James since his appointment to managing director in 2022.
James said: “Adrian has played a fundamental role in managing our company for a number of years, and this appointment recognises the contributions he has made to the successful running of Speller Metcalfe.
“He is one of the most competent people I know – a well-respected and liked leader – and I’m delighted to be managing the future of our family business alongside him.”
The promotion follows the retirement of joint founder Andy Metcalfe last year.
