WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Encore Construction is pleased to announce it’s begun work on a downtown Washington, D.C. location for Sugared + Bronzed: a sugaring hair-removal and sunless-tanning destination with locations in New York, California, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
“We’re very excited to be working with Encore Construction for our first Washington, D.C. location,” said Nick Burns, Director of Construction at Sugared + Bronzed. “Encore has a sterling reputation as a commercial general contractor and has done fabulous work in the Mid-Atlantic region. As Sugared + Bronzed is headquartered in California, I have to rely on them to keep the project moving and see it through. I know I’m in good hands with Encore.”
The new Sugared + Bronzed will be located on Wisconsin Avenue in northwest Washington, D.C. Project size is 1,436 sq. ft. Project scope includes: structural work; an exterior storefront window expansion; exterior and interior finishes; new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing; a sprinkler system; and a fire alarm. Encore estimates the buildout will take two months.
“Sugared + Bronzed is going to bring some much-needed California sun to the nation’s capital, and we’re excited to be a part of that effort,” said Encore’s President, Joe McCafferty. “The location is in the toniest part of Washington, D.C. and the first-floor space itself is enviably situated. Importantly, the Sugared + Bronzed team has been great to work with. We’re eager to see the finished product.”
